TERMS OF SERVICE

As the shipper, you hereby agree, on your behalf and on behalf of anyone else with an interest in the shipment, which the terms and conditions shall apply from the time that Cargo North ltd. accepts the shipment, unless otherwise agreed in writing by an authorized officer of Cargo North ltd. "Shipment” means all documents or parcels that may be carried by any means Cargo North ltd. chooses, including air, road or any other carrier. Every shipment is transported on a limited liability basis as provided herein. If the shipper requires greater protection, then insurance may be arranged at an additional cost. (please see below for further information). As a customer of Cargo North ltd., you hereby agree that after 7 days your merchandise is transferred to our storage area & is subject to a cost of $2.85 per day until it is collected & is payable upon collection.
Cargo North ltd. Has the right to open and inspect a shipment without notice. Claims are limited to one claim per shipment settlement of which will be full and final settlement for all loss or damage in connection therewith. If the shipper regards these limits as insufficient it must make a special declaration of value and request insurance or make its own insurance arrangements, failing time limits for claims items leaving the store are not eligible for claim. All claims must be made upon collection of items. Claims will be investigated for a period not to exceed (15) business days.
Should a refund be necessary on behalf of Cargo North ltd, the shipper will receive a refund via check. Cargo North ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of circumstances Cargo North ltd’s control. These include but are not limited to:- electrical or magnetic damage to, or erasure of, electronic or photographic images, data or recordings; any defect or characteristic related to the nature of the shipment, even if known to Cargo North ltd; any act or omission by a person not employed or contracted by Cargo North ltd - e.G. Shipper, receiver, third party, customs or other government official; “force majeure" - e.G. Earthquake, cyclone, storm, flood, fog, war, plane crash or embargo, riot or civil commotion, industrial action.
Packages left uncollected after 7 days in our local office will automatically be transferred to our storage area. An additional $2.00 storage fee will be added to all items sent to storage. After 30 days Cargo North has the right to sell your package to cover cost owed to the company.
